Ideal Option PLLC was founded by two Board Certified Emergency Medicine physicians, Dr. Jeffrey Allgaier and Dr. Kenneth Egli. Dr. Allgaier and Dr. Egli identified the severity of Substance Use Disorder while working shifts in the Emergency Department. Unfortunately, those stricken with Substance Use Disorder do not have many affordable and effective treatment options available to them. Dr. Allgaier and Dr. Egli embarked on a mission to create a program to increase access to care for this underserved patient population.
Medication Assisted Treatment is widely regarded as the most effective treatment option for those individuals afflicted by Opioid Use Disorder. A core component of recovery is providing patients with the tools needed to take back control over their life. Ideal Option’s providers are trained to leverage up-to-date, evidence-based, internationally peer-reviewed guidelines and best practices to empower individuals to lead happy healthy lives. Ideal Option’s Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) program includes individualized treatment plans that are developed collectively by both the patient and the provider. OBOT programs are very flexible in that patients have scheduled office visits, much like a primary care, and often do not require daily visits. This flexibility allows the patient to focus on other potential areas of professional and social development.
