Can Remeron Be Used By Anyone?

Remeron antidepressant is not a drug that can be used by everyone. To those who have a personality that is prone to addiction, taking their past history into account, Remeron addiction could be an issue that they could face. Apart from this, there are drugs, supplements, and substances that can interact with Remeron in unwanted ways. The general idea is to avoid taking Remeron with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI); it is clinically well-known that Remeron can combine with the following drugs to increase sedation to unpleasant levels:

  • Narcotics
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Other tricyclics, and
  • Most other medications

It is not advised that you do not discuss your other prescriptions with the doctor. It’s highly important that the doctor gets to know your full history before Remeron is prescribed for your depression (or some other issue).

Can Pregnant People Consume Remeron?

No. Remeron antidepressant is not a drug that is safe for pediatric patients, as it doesn’t have approval for their usage. If a pregnant or lactating woman person needs to try this antidepressant out, they must immediately have a conversation with the doctor that they usually consult with. It is likely that the doctor would outright reject the idea of a pregnant person consuming a drug that is clinically not approved for their usage.

Is Remeron addictive?

Is remeron addictive

As is the case with several other antidepressants, even though Remeron is thought to be non-addictive, it still can cause you to have a physical dependence on the drug. Remeron addiction becomes a chilling reality to those who try and stop their usage of the drug — gradually or otherwise. This is because withdrawal symptoms arise at that point, and this could lead to its users continuing its usage despite their desire to quit the drug.

Remeron Could Cause Withdrawal Symptoms Like:

  • Rebounding depression
  • General irritability
  • Nausea
  • Frightening nightmares
  • Constant headaches
  • Dizziness

It is also possible to overdose on Remeron. Therefore, it would be prudent for you to thoroughly discuss the drug with your doctor before you embark on a phase of prescription Remeron usage.
