At Anaheim Lighthouse, they know that drug addiction therapy and detox must be affordable and effective. Addiction therapy may be the farthest thing from the mind of an addicted individual. While it often resembles obvious that an addict or alcoholic needs help, he or she may feel that recovery is impossible and that it may be easier to continue on their current way. But millions of people have come through the disease of dependence and are leading full and healthy lives. With the right treatment plan, specialists, and rehab facility, recovery can be far more than a goal. The most important step is the first one: admitting they are powerless over alcohol and drugs and their lives are uncontrollable. Their rehab center in Southern California can offer that help. They shine a beacon of hope for those who are ready to take that first step.
Whether a client comes to their affordable rehab center in California to receive treatment for drug addiction or for alcoholism, They offer a full array of programs, from detox to inpatient residential and intensive outpatient care. Within their abstinence-based treatment programs, they provide a comprehensive slate of services, such as individual and group counseling, drug and alcohol education, and introduction to the 12-step program. Recognizing the importance of family healing, they also offer a strong family support program. They promote our holistic approach to recovery through treating the mind, body, and soul. They encourage a healthy diet and physical fitness through visits to a nationally recognized gym, yoga and meditation during a client’s stay.

FAQ
There is no rule or limit regarding the kind of psychiatric disorders that may co-occur with addiction. A complete assessment and diagnosis help pinpoint the correct diagnosis. The following represents a partial list of the most common mental health issues combining with drug or alcohol abuse:
- Mood disorders such as depression and bipolar
- Anxiety disorders, such as panic attacks
- Eating disorders, such as anorexia or bulimia
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Attention deficit disorder
Psychiatric clients most commonly use the following substances:
- Alcohol
- Opiates such as heroin
- Stimulants such as cocaine or methamphetamine
- Marijuana
- Prescription opioid drugs
- Hallucinogens
The most common contributing factors to co-occurring disorders include genetic make-up, early use of drugs or alcohol in childhood or teen years and severe stress or trauma. Unless dual diagnosis treatment for addiction is combined with treatment for the co-occurring mental disorder, chances for full and long-term recovery is not likely.
The goal of intervention is to encourage a commitment from the substance abuser to enter drug addiction treatment. Our experienced interventionists also help the family to determine specific consequences if the addict is not willing to cooperate by taking advantage of help at a residential treatment center. Interventions are conducted without finger-pointing and accusations. The approach of alcohol and drug intervention is gentle but assertive. When a family contacts us seeking information about intervention, the heartbreak and exhaustion caused by addiction have reached a peak. Our interventionists approach the situation with understanding hearts. They have the first-hand experience with addiction and recovery.
